Calculators cannot be found in the test center, and you aren't able to share a calculator.

Quick Facts

  • Only the calculators on this webpage are acceptable to be used for the Math Test, Calculator portion of the test.
  • You are not allowed to make use of a calculator while working on the Reading, Writing and Language or Math Test -- No Calculator portions, and must take away the calculator away during these portions during the exam.
  • You'll be ejected and your marks canceled in the event that you use your calculator to communicate information during the test, or to remove test questions or answers from the test room.

Calculator Smarts

  • Bring your personal calculator. It's not possible to share one.
  • Don't take a brand-new calculator. Bring one that you are familiar with. Study for the test by using the same calculator you'll be using on test day.
  • This Math Test includes some questions that you should not employ a calculator, even though you're permitted to.
  • It might be helpful to complete scratch work within the test book. Get your thoughts down before using your calculator.
  • Check that your calculator is in operating condition and that the batteries are fresh. The test center doesn't have batteries or extra calculators. If your calculator fails during testing and you're without a backup the test will be completed the test without it.

You are allowed to use calculators only for the Subject Tests of Mathematics. Check out the guidelines and rules.

Acceptable Calculators

If you own the calculator with characters 1 inch or greater or if your calculator features a display that is raised that might be visible to other test-takers, then you'll be allowed to sit at the discretion and discretion of test facilitators.

Only handheld, battery-operated equipment is allowed for testing. The use of power cords is not allowed.

Unacceptable Calculators

You cannot use any of the following items as calculators: calculator:

  • Laptops or other computers, mobile phones, tablets smartwatches or wearable technology
  • Models that are able to connect to the Internet, have wireless, Bluetooth, cellular, audio/video recording and playback, camera, or other features that are similar to smartphones.
  • Models that feature a computer-style (QWERTY) keypad pen input or stylus
  • Models that have electricity outlets, make sounds or even have a paper tape
  • In addition, the use of hardware peripherals , such as stylus with an approved calculator is not permitted. Some models with touchscreen capability aren't allowed (e.g., Casio ClassPad).
